Listed below is information about our classroom. If you have questions about supplies, homework, volunteering, and field trips, this is the place to look.
I AM NOT A PERFECT TEACHER. I have the best of intentions, but things don't always work the way I intended. If you see something on my webpage that I am not doing please hold me accountable and let me know. I will do everything I can to change or make adjustments so that I am communicating accurately and being consistent. |
HomeworkI believe that kids are in school 7 hours a day and should have time to play and be with family in the evenings. I try to gear my homework around family and more engaging activities. I will only send something extra if students need extra practice. Here is what you can expect from me in sense of homework on a normal basis:
BehaviorStudents are positively reinforced with Classroom Dojo in the classroom. If a student shows chronic behavioral problems in the classroom, parents will be contacted and a behavioral plan will be put into place specifically for that child. Please contact me if you have any concerns about your students behavior.
|
Volunteering in the ClassroomI expect every parent to volunteer at least once a month in the classroom. Please contact me about the days that will work with you throughout the school year. Parent involvement is one of the most impactful ways for students to be successful in school.
Please come and be a part of our classroom on a regular basis. Whether you are reading a book, sitting with your student on the rug, making copies or helping a child with Math come and be apart of the journey. Field TripsAs Field Trips are planned I will post the dates and times in this spot. Stay tuned!

SuppliesI provide everything that your student will need in the classroom. All supplies in the classroom are considered the community's. Everything is shared. If students have something specific that they want, but not share, it needs to stay in their cubby until a time that it is needed. If the supply is left overnight in the classroom in a place other than their cubby it is considered a community supply and no longer belongs to just your student. This is to avoid theft and arguments over supplies.
I always need supplies! If it is possible I do accept donations of supplies to the classroom. Here are some things we ALWAYS need:
Coming and Going from SchoolI want your kids to be safe. Please communicate with them and with me the way they will be getting home and the caretaker that will be meeting them there.
